2004 - 2005 Classroom Presentations

A CREW Land & Water Trust staff member or volunteer will be happy to come to your school and give a presentation as described below. All classroom presentations are limited to one class (no more than 40 students) at a time. We can schedule up to three classes per school per day with a 15-minute break in between presentations for clean-up and set up. Donations to the CREW Land & Water Trust are appreciated for classroom programs.

 3rd - 5th grades: What's a Watershed? - Students participate in an interactive demonstration with a watershed model to learn the importance of protecting wetlands. The demo is followed by a short PowerPoint presentation about CREW - the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed – and it’s critters. Program length: 45 minutes - 1 hour. Requires: one large table, computer with CD and LCD projection capability

High School Environmental Science classes - Land & Water Issues in SW Florida
This 60-minute presentation takes students on a historic journey through South Florida, highlighting the changing face of land and water resources and current issues surrounding the Everglades Restoration and the CREW watershed. Requires: Computer with CD and LCD projection capability
