Where is CREW?

The Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed spans Lee and Collier Counties in southwest Florida (see MAP)

The boundaries include four major land areas:

  • Corkscrew Marsh
  • Flint Pen Strand
  • Bird Rookery Swamp
  • Camp Keais Strand

Directions to the CREW Marsh Trail System
FROM I-75 
Take Exit 123 and go east (left) on Corkscrew Road (County Road 850) approximately 18 miles.  The entrance is on your right.  Our entrance and sign (blue letters "CREW Marsh Trail" on a wooden fence) are a bit recessed in the woods, so please look carefully!

Or, take Exit 138 and go east on State Road 82 about 20 miles. Turn right on County Road 850 (Corkscrew Road), and the entrance is about one and a half miles on your left.  Our entrance and sign (blue letters "CREW Marsh Trail" on a wooden fence) are a bit recessed in the woods, so please look carefully!

or FROM FORT MYERS:
Take Colonial Road to State Road 82 (east of I-75) and turn right. You’ll pass Gateway and Lehigh Acres. After passing a large cellular tower on your left, begin looking for County Road 850 (Corkscrew Road).  Turn right (it’s a “T” intersection). Continue SW on County Road 850, and our entrance is about one and a half miles miles on the left.  The entrance and sign (blue letters "CREW Marsh Trail" on a wooden fence) are a bit recessed in the woods, so please look carefully!
